iPhone 6 specs, features, release date, price, news & rumours

iPhone 6 specs, features, release date, price, news & rumours

Apple launched the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5c on the 10th of September, killing all speculation that it would be called the iPhone 6. We're still expecting Apple's 2014 handset to be called the iPhone 6 and have preserved the rumours until we get more information. Click through to find out more about the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c
Apple is in a slightly strange position at the moment: it doesn't have the smartphone with the fastest processor or the highest-resolution screen. In fact, looking at specs alone, the HTC One, Sony Xperia Z and Samsung Galaxy S4 are all giving the smartphone king a run for its money and making people think about the Android platform.
That's not say that Apple has been idle. In fact, it's clearly been working hard on both new hardware and a new operating system in order to re-assert itself. From the existing rumours, it would appear as though the next iPhone will be the iPhone 5S, an update to the iPhone 5. Then, we're going to get the iPhone 6, a completely revamped phone.
In this article we're concentrating on the iPhone 6, although it may turn out that some of these features make it into the iPhone 5S. Apple may even just dump the iPhone 5S and move straight to the 6 instead. Regardless of names, if Apple's going to continue to make the most desirable smartphone it's going to have to pack some serious technology into its latest handsets.

Apple iPhone 5 Could See October Release!

Apple could release the iPhone 5 in October, according to latest rumors. But questions remain about actual features.iphone 5

Apple’s next iPhone could see its debut in September—or maybe October. It will likely come with Apple’s proprietary A5 processor and an 8-megapixel camera, but it’s more questionable whether the case will undergo a fundamental redesign. As for the device’s official name, you could probably place money just as easily on “iPhone 4S” as “iPhone 5”—or both, if Apple chooses to launch a whole new line of cheaper iPhones to complement its annual high-end device.
The ramp-up to the launch of each new Apple product sometimes plays out like the tech-world version of Beckett’s “Waiting for Godot,” in which confusion reigns.

The 50 Best iPhone Applications

The 50 Best iPhone Applicationsiphone apps

Whether you're joining the roster of iPhone owners for the first time, perhaps when the iPhone 5 launches or you're a long-time Apple customer trying to make the most out of your iPhone 3 or 4, you need app recommendations. The app store is just too big to go through on your own. Word-of-mouth advice is useful, but we at PCMag spend thousands of hours each year scouring iTunes, speaking with developers, reviewing the best apps we find, and hunting for hidden gems. If there's an app that makes owning the iPhone more worthwhile, we find out about it.
Why? Because apps are what transform the iPhone from mobile phone to pocket PC. Anyone can find an app for just about anything, but plenty of them aren't worth your time. Others are good—entertaining, usually, at the very least—and still others seem useful for only a day or two, until their novelty wears off. And some make you wonder how you ever functioned without them.
